2011 Acura MDX Tech – A Nice Blend of Technology, Comfort and Performance

Posted by Poquet Auto on Jul 24, 2014 11:00:42 AM

The US News and World Report ranked the Acura MDX first among competitors like the BMW X5, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GL/ML, Lexus RX 350 and

the Volvo XC90.

Chiefly designed in Honda facilities in the US, the 2011 Acura MDX also received design input from Honda design centers in Italy and Switzerland. Exciting luxury appointments, a unique face, enough space for the whole family, a silky engine and robust performance are some distinctive features of the Acura MDX.

The interior has been designed keeping the requirements of business, family and luxury in mind. As a three-row midsize luxury SUV, the 2011 Acura MDX is quite spacious and tech-rich. Some may find the array of buttons somewhat uninviting, but they are very user-friendly. A 10-speaker ELS/Panasonic audio system with digital music storage and an iPod audio interface is as impressive and efficient as its navigation system. The seats offer outstanding support for long road trips and winding lanes. Also, a driver memory system to power and heat the front seats is another exciting feature.

The 2011 Acura MDX’s well-equipped Technology Package has all what tech lovers would dream about. As a blend of technology, comfort and performance, the 2011 Acura MDX is a perfect choice for on-the-go families. Opulent refinements, friendly navigation and outstanding fuel economy are enough to make this all-wheel drive 7-seater SUV a highly regarded vehicle. Apart from a wide range of standard features at the base level, it offers a good deal of options. 2011 Acura MDX Tech features 15GB HD, multi-view parking camera, solar-sensing and GPS-linked climate control and perforated leather upholstery.

An Entertainment Package with wireless headsets, remote control, DVD with full VGA screen for rear seat entertainment and heated second-row seats were also available at the time of its launch, and the Entertainment Package could be added with the Technology Package. The Tech Package didn’t offer any changes to its engine, however.

Performance wise, the Acura MDX 2011 has an estimated fuel economy of 16mpg in cities, 21mpg on highways and 18mpg as average. In different performance testings, it’s been going from zero to 60mph just in 7.1 seconds.  For safety, the 2011 MDX has antilock disc brakes, front-seat and side curtain airbags, optional CMBS for distance and closure rate monitoring, stability control and front head restraints.

Those looking for a luxury mid-size crossover SUV with efficient space, comfortable seats and decent fuel economy, the available 2011 Acura MDX can serve their needs best.
