10 Phases of Driving Through Minnesota Road Construction [as told by GIFs]

Written by Poquet Auto | Nov 26, 2018 3:30:00 PM

Minnesota has two seasons, and everyone knows them—construction and winter. While winter brings its own set of stressors, we’re not out of the woods with highway construction. Safety first, so buckle up, because with frequent road closures and resulting traffic jams, we’re all in for one bumpy ride these next few years.

A few years you say? That’s right! Interstate 35 and Interstate 94 construction isn’t expected to end in 2021, and that’s if MNDOT is on track! Beyond I-35 and I-94 having work done, Hwy 62, Hwy 100, Hwy 169, Hwy 494... (trust us… the list goes on). They’re all being torn apart in some sick gesture of traffic fun for us to sit in together during the next couple of years.

Here are the 10 Phases we all go through when trying to reach a destination during road construction season:

1.When you start driving towards your destination...

Hopefully, we’ll make it out eventually and the roadways will be brand spankin’ new!
