Last year, Matthew Mcconaughey became the face of the Lincoln Motor Company (Ford’s luxury automobile brand) in a series of brooding, introspective commercials.
The commercials were intended to be serious, but some people felt Mcconaughey was just a bit too serious. Both Ellen DeGeneres and Jim Carrey thought he should lighten up, so they did parodies of the commercials.
The first commercial features Mcconaughey’s laid-back musings about a bull standing in the middle of the road. The wind sweeping across the road and the reflective music are supposed to give it an epic, other-worldly feel.
Ellen DeGeneres spoofed this commercial by inserting herself into the backseat of the car and adding some “missing” lines.

In the next commercials, Mcconaughey is broody and reflective again as he drives down a lonely, moodily lit road. Jim Carrey - impressionist extraordinaire - does a brilliant imitation of Mcconaughey in series of mock Lincoln ads that appeared on Saturday Night Live.

Do you think it’s as spoofable as the last ones? Let’s wait to see what DeGeneres and Carrey think…..
