Last month, we reported on the car gadgets our readers can’t live without. Now’s the time to turn the tables and highlight some not-so-useful accessories or gizmos people have received as gifts over the years.
Our favorite has to be the self-leveling can holder, as suggested by BS, complete with the following video included:
Seems practical, right?
Here’s a smattering of the other least useful gadgets, as proposed by our readers:
- Tiger stripe car seat covers and hot pink steering wheel cover. - BW
- The dice that hang from your mirror. Used to have some. - GP
- The wooden bead back massager. - WB
- Steering wheel cover - MD
- Trash container -- no place to hang it. - JG
- Organizer for backseat/kids gear - JE
- Solar Powered LED Ash Tray - TJ
- Speeding ticket - RM
- AC seats. Don't really like how it feels. - JE
- Curb feelers - TS
What if you had all of these amazing items in your car at once? It may play out something along these lines:
Imagine cruising down Main with your hands firmly on the pink steering wheel grip, admiring your fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror, enjoying the beaded back massager over the tiger stripe seat cover (necessary because the seat AC is just too cold), only to realize that the trash container is bouncing all over the backseat organizer cause you don’t have anywhere to hang it while the solar-powered LED ash tray soaks in the sun’s rays and your curb feelers bounce joyfully along but your beverage, that one resting on the self-leveling can holder is safe and secure, perched above the unfortunate speeding ticket you just placed on the dash.
