When describing the vehicles we drive, many people will use terms like tough, reliable, fast, smooth, agile, rugged, and sleek. Broadening the scope a bit, cars are also categorized by style, performance, and safety -- basically, their position in the pack.
So too, are athletes, especially football players . As such, we asked our friends over on Facebook to personify their vehicles as pigskin specialists. Specifically, we wanted to know what position their car would play and why?
Here’s our readership’s lineup for the gridlock gridiron:
- Safety! Because it's important to protect myself and loved ones when on the road. - TJ
- Quarterback - because it would make all of the decisions. - SW
- Wide receiver because it's FAST! - TK
- It would be number 28, certified quality from Poquet. - RM
- Receiver, because I am always running errands in my car to keep my family together as a team. - JM
- Running back - it's low to the ground and quick. - TS
- Tailback because it weaves back and forth thru thick traffic. - BM
- Center!! It’s the center of attention. - NP
- Running back! Because it's always running! #AllDay - AA
- Linebacker; commands the defense. Strong. Durable. And gets things done! - ES
- Quarterback because my car is a leader. - SF
- Special teams because it's an all-around utility truck. - RL
- Full back. it would break up the line. - DR
- I would be a WR running the go route every time - because I live a quarter mile at a time. - NK
- Benched. - LA
