If you follow us on Facebook, you know we like to have a little fun with our followers. Once a week, we ask our audience a question and enter everyone who answers into drawings to win fun prizes like gift cards and free oil changes.

Awhile back, we asked what “not-so-smart” things people did to their first cars.

We got some pretty interesting and hilarious answers.

Many people made mistakes when performing maintenance or repairs on their first cars, some got in fender benders, and one contributor even drove his car into a lake.

1. “I ran into a cow.” – P.J.

 2. “I went to turn the blinker on and instead switched into reverse” – R.O.

3. “I steam cleaned my engine without covering up the electronics. Then I was stranded as I could not get my car started.” – B.S.
