Hood Ornament Ideas from Our Fans - Readers' Choice

Posted by Poquet Auto on Apr 14, 2016 11:00:46 AM

Originally used to beautify the temperature guages and radiator caps of early cars, the hood ornament quickly became a symbol of class, success, and wealth since their introduction to the world around 1912.

But sadly, we have seen these expressive pieces of automotive art die off over the years with only a few brands, such as Mercedes and Rolls Royce, carrying the metaphorical torch. Hold Your Horses: 5 Reasons Why You Need to Drive Safely This Spring

Posted by Poquet Auto on Apr 12, 2016 10:09:43 AM

The nostalgia car carrier is back again and it is pumping Jerry Reed’s ‘Eastbound and Down!’

39 years since the release of Smokey and the Bandit, Trans Am Depot is coming out with the 2016 Bandit Trans Am, a remake of the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am that starred alongside Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, Sally Field, and trusty-old Fred the Bassett Hound.

Equipped with it’s signature hood logo, T-tops, and snowflake wheels (pictured below), the new Trans Am brings back a few iconic features, as well as a few new ones. A couple of the new features, including:

When we read about the world record for driving in a roundabout, it’s safe to say that it brought a few of us back to this scene from the 1985 movie, National Lampoon’s European Vacation.

To have a little fun with this unique record, we want to ask our Facebook followers to share their favorite “driving in circles” stories. One included an 80s music jam session… while a few discovered places ‘Where the Streets Had No Names.’
