The Celebrity Cars of Mad Max

The fourth Mad Max movie since 1979, Mad Max: Fury Road came out May 15th to rave reviews and sold-out theaters. The original, an Australian dystopian action flick “centered its attention around the breakdown of society, love, and revenge.” Like many other action movies, the Mad Max movies all feature some pretty amazing cars.

In a recent post, we used an interactive map to illustrate average commute times for Minnesota counties. What we discovered, perhaps unsurprisingly, is that citizens in counties comprising the Twin Cities metro have significantly longer commute times than Minnesota’s rural residents. Here, we know how frustrating it is to be late to a meeting because of an accident, or to spend an hour trying to get home because rush hour all but stopped traffic.

For those of you who struggle through long, exhausting drives to and from work each day, we thought we’d share some of our favorite ways to make commuting more enjoyable.

How long does it take you to get to work? 5 minutes? 20? 60? More? According to this fascinating interactive map from flowingdata.com, the average commute time in Hennepin County is 22.7 minutes, slightly more than Ramsey County’s 22.6 minutes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the majority of surrounding metro county commute times are longer with suburban drivers making their way into the Twin Cities:
