In honor of Memorial Day, we asked our fans and followers what car they thought was the most patriotic car ever made, and one vehicle in-particular emerged victorious!

So for the 4th of July, we felt it was most appropriate to share the results! But before we share the winner with you, here are some of the other suggestions:

Where Would You Go For A Summer Road Trip? - Readers’ Choice

Posted by Poquet Auto on Jun 28, 2016 10:38:28 AM

In our lives, many of us have taken road trips with our parents and significant others to different areas around the world (sometimes voluntarily, sometimes forced). But one thing is for sure, road trips are a great way to create lifelong memories and spend time with the ones you love. With this in mind, we asked our fans and followers where they would go for a summer roadtrip.

Check out what they had to say!

  • CPP: I'd grab my Starbucks card that I won from Poquet and head home to the small farming community where I grew up, located in Northwest Iowa. My Mom and Dad still live there and my Dad is still farming at the young age of 76!
  • CM: I would love to circle the Great Lakes. Duluth, Montreal all the way around to Chicago. Lots of ports - lots of good eating. It's a road trip less travelled, but many waterfalls and beauty to behold.
  • JHD: Road trip to Maine taking a route through Canada to get there. My parents would roadtrip through Canada on their vacations and it would be fun to stop at some of the same places they did over the years.

Not too long ago, we posted a blog featuring Saturday Night Live’s “Mercedes AA-Class,” a skit that mockingly announced the debut of a Mercedes ran entirely by AA batteries. It was funny then but, Mercedes has some news for us:

An all electric Mercedes-Benz prototype is coming.

12 Valuable Vintage Car Toys that May be Sitting in Your Closet

Posted by Poquet Auto on Jun 21, 2016 10:27:39 AM

During childhood, a lot of kids dream of the day they get their driving license. However, some kids had a decade to go until that day came. So what did they do in the meantime?

They played with car toys!

Race car noises and fire truck sirens filled the home and allowed the imaginations of children to go wild.

Once the day the toys became obsolete, they were either donated, thrown away, or stored for sentimental reasons. And for those that saved any of these 12, you may have a good chunk of change just sitting in your attic.

1. Stompers - Stompers on Ebay are listed with a Buy-It-Now price anywhere from $10 to $100, depending on the rarity and the condition. The big rig models seem to be some of the most valuable and unopened models, still sealed in cellophane, can fetch several hundred dollars.
